Darwin are a new research and development company involved in 5G and satellite communications in partnership with O2. They explore ways to combine terrestrial and satellite communications and use connected and autonomous vehicles to demonstrate what they have achieved. One of their objectives is to bring better communications to rural areas so that these communities can benefit by using their service as a platform to develop.
As a start-up company all assets had to be created from scratch starting with the identity. We wanted to represent the key elements of the business namely satellites and Wi-Fi and in some executions the global nature of what they do. The typefaces, colours and imagery echoed a similar style used by one of the key partners in the project, O2, which helped tie the association together visually.
This theme was then carried through onto the website, exhibition stand, office signage and vehicle graphics.
